Kendall says: First of all Jensen Atwood makes this show worth watching! He is so fine. As for relating to the characters the answer is a definite NO! But its a start and someday maybe REAL black gay actors will be given a chance to show the world what we are really all about.
Jay says: Gay actors have been on a long time; we just didn't and still don't really know who is and who "ain't". We wish don't we. I watch the show to show support but the guys are too effeminate except for Wade a couple more that aren't in starring roles. The show needs to expand to show that not all gays are effeminate and that guys can be gay and act masculine.
Jae says: Well. I think its a real good start, compared to what was on "gay TV" a few years ago. This series shows us in a new light. Yea a little bit far fetched with the extras, but pretty much, my life is like that. I talk to my friends like they do, and as a matter of fact, they might have took a page out of our lives....LOL....but seriously, A positve bold step in the right direction, for all
Nigg says: The show is entertaining, but it is a huge letdown that every character is fem, even Wade has his "moments", although he is off the hook sexy.
Anonymous says: Hate to just turn the conversation around but I never heard of this show and would really like to see it...What network does it come on?
CollegePoet says: I enjoyed the first season. Err'y time my friends and I get a chance to let anotha SGL brotha know about it we do. I liked the fact that we had show like this. I think that alot of us are so stuck on putting the Black Gay Man in a box that we forget that us being BLACK GAY AND MALE means that we should not have to have one. Yea the characters are different but I like that and I think that we show enjoy the entertainment. Please lets not hate but enjoy the show. Shoot if givent the chance I would audition for it! ANyone know anything about that?
Clay says: The show is very nice and I lover every single episode. I wish Black bruthas would realize that to have a show where all of the characters are somewhat effeminate, is a mirror of real life. If these were white actors in a series such as the "The Bird Cage", or "Boys in the Band", where all the actors save one, was in fact just this side of being a "QUEEN"! That never detracted from the acting, nor the worth of the show. Ok, so all of the actors save one, (in the case of the comments here), are sissies or effeminate, I still appreciate the show and hope it will continue. I believe this show educates to a great extent. With hip hop culture having set such a down low, street thug platform that most youngster attempt to immulate, I would just as see, some positive images from black actors, even if they are effeminate. Afterall, most of know guys just like these fellas, and while none of us has to act like them, don't player hate on those who have chosen to do there characters and advance their careers. Yes, I think Wade is hot as fire and he could be in my company anytime even with his occasional "lil girly thang".
Tye Murda says: yes i wanna know whats gonna happen wit noah an wade shit if they dont get back together i want wade shit ill take noah 2 im vers like tha im a freak 2 lol |
Anonymous says: i loved the first season, i wish noah was not so fem but its still koo, and i cant wait till the new season comin out, anyone kno when it starts????? i especially love the episode when wade FINALLY admits his feelings and noah nd him make love, that was BEAUTIFUL, tear, lol but if neone kno when the new season start let me kno

Kendall says: Fem versus Masculine seems to be the crux of how this show is judged. What if all the characters were masculine would anyone complain about that???? I have noticed that if two masculine brothers date then there is no problem. But if two fem brothers date then you get comments like they bumpin pussies or you girls need to stop knockin pocket books. I am so confused as to why masculinity is such a validator and being fem is such an incriminator???

Marques says: Truthgully speaking is Noah's Arch the show we as a community have been waiting for. The answer can only bve found inside of yourself. For me the show is nice but it really has no balance. Yes it shows the fem side of the gay world and the masculine side also but with the friends of Noah they are all fem how come not one of them could look more masculine there should be a certain range of homosexual portrayals within the whole show and not just with Noah and his mate (whom name I cannot remember at the moment and I apologize for that).
Anonymous says: Again when and what channel does this show come on...I have to see it...
Anonymous says: Logo channel its different for all cables if you have direct tv its channel 263
Nigg says: To say a show will all fem characters is a miror of real life is not on point. I dont have anyone in my circle that acts like any of the characters. Nothing wrong with the fem dude, but it needed much balance, at least one of his friends could have been masc.
Anonymous says: thanks for telling me the info man...
Anonymous says: No Noah's Arc is not what we have been waiting for. Noah's Arc is however, what the White Gay Media wants people to think that we are. They were comfortable with the writer who is a known snow queen (and I do mean queen) here in Los Angeles. I don't know why we must continue to rely on the white establishment to paint the picture of our own lives. We have enough money to do it ourselves. Just like we did before integration. Everything white is not right!

Keyvon says: brother new to the life wanna know what a snow queen is?
Suave says: What I really think about Noah's Arc? First how many of us black gay men in America would allow a tv camera to tape our lives. Secondly, many of us are so focused on being utterly fabulous so much that we don't support each other. As a black community I think that the black community should embrace the forcoming this shows. Actually, I find the show rather great. I most definitely commend this attemp to give the world a peek at what we as African Americans live our lives being gay. Finally, The show is so great to me it is the true love story between a bisexual guy and a homosexual. I many of you can relate. So , I say don't think negatively of the show embrace it as a mean for the world to get a feel for who we really are to that they can understand what it is like.
Anonymous says: Well, I think Noah's Arc is a great show. After reading the other entries I do agree and disagree with them. I do understand the fact that almost all of the charcters do seem fem. But that's really not what we as a black community is about. If a white person was to see this show they'd get the wrong idea about us. But I do believe there should be more of a balance between the fem and masculine side of the show. But other wise I love the show and I'll be glad when the new season starts!

Anonymous says: Raz B will play gay on Noah's Arc. According to the latest podcast at Pink Mafia Radio, the gay-friendly heart-throb and former B2K bandboy will play a love interest in the upcoming second season. But a love interest for ... whom? Noah? Wade? Trey?

Richard says: hel to the fuck yea noah's arc oh my fuckin god i love the shit out of that show ever time it came on i was there never miss a show me and my gay friends was always there watching ti and we had our on part in it lol cause i was noah cause that the way how i act its like it was us playing it cause thats how all of us acted just like ya'll cause i do and did everthing noah did love romantic stuff just like you and my ex was wade he act just like him my bestfriend was ricky cause he was just the same as ricky ass and my other friend was diva big drama queen ass lol and we couldn't find a friend for the other sorry boo lol its like everday we go some were i say oh today i'm noah i play you real good boo oh my god i just love you and the whole cast of noah's arc pls come out with another one pls for me and for us all queen's kiss kiss &hugs love ya
J.J. Evans says: The show sets black gay men back.....my friends are nothing like that...but its only televison....no one is watching Noah's Arc, everyone is watching the Flava of Love, talk about setting Negros back 100 years...

MRG says: Noah's Arc is what I have been waiting for. So many of my friends loved Queer Ass Folk, but I hated it becasue I couldn't relate. With the characters of noah's arc, I like the friendship displayed through all of the friends. I was definately able to relate becasue friends are hard to come by, well true friends and I think me and my friends are a good replica of how they live their life. The first series was great. We all need to keep in mind everythign gets better with time..... One ... I bet you can't do it Like ME.
Felipe Ujueta says: Noah's Arc is a needed part of Gay Media, but does not reflect the full spectrum of gay life by any means. It is gay TV for gay people, which is completely fine, cause it's on a gay network, but let's start to find some middle ground where we show black gay men other than the stock characters that are potrayed on Noah's Arc. In reference to the show, the writing is good, the acting needs a little work, and some of the directoral decisions should be rethought, but over all it is fun to watch.
Q says: No! The writing is mediocre and not the best from the show's creator {who also wrote the acclaimed movie Punks, which starred Rockman Dunbar}. The acting is mixed with the best performances coming from Rodney Chester who plays Alex {the truest character} and his "husband" Trey played by Greg Keith [also this is the best written subplot]! It is overly experimental and viewers can be left with the impression that the writers and producers are making this stuff up as they go along; whereas, a good story would have a beginning, middle and end with some twists and turns along the way. This season everybody is gay [the worker at the store that Ricky eventually hooks up wit; the DL British rapper], society is "effemaphobic" and closeted DL types {of course there is no true representation of the DL lifestyle, though the show is very critical and antagonistic of men who choose to live thier life or express their sexuality this way} hate everything Noah stands for as per Noah's newest love interest.
Andrew says: Every step is a step in the right direction Fem or non fem the show is about black gay men we come in all shapes and sizes. The spotlight is slowly shinning on our direction and evolution will correct its lunminated focus. In the mean time we wait and have a sence of humor and use that time to create our own vision of how we want to be veiwed. For now the challenge is to have gratitude for what is happening now, supporting the cast by watch and creating a need, all the while creating a new vision for ourselves. Beacause when you have arrived the journey is just begining. At the end of the journey reaching the goal was not the most to be gained. The journey it self has the most profound effect on your life and you are rich from the experience. Thats a fact. So with gratitude i thank all those concerned with the show . I look forward to the next project
AHMAD says: I HAVE 2 AGREE WITH JAY. I SAW MAD PICTURES AOURND THE NET ABOUT NOAH'S ARC. THEN WEN I FOUND OUT I HAD LOGO (DAH GAY CHANNEL), I SCROLLED THROUGH THE PROGRAMS AND SAW THAT NIAH'S ARC WAS COMING ON. I WATCHED AN EPISODE. THEN THEY HAD A MARATHON OF SEASON 1 ONE SATURDAY AND I WATCHED IT. DESPITE DAH BAD ACTING, I WAS DRAWN 2 THE SHOW 'CAUSE OF THE SEVERAL HOMOTHUGS THAT WERE SHOWN. SEASON 2 HAD BETTA ACTING. IF THEY DO ANOTHA SEASON, I HOPE THAT HE COMBINES SEASON 1'S USAGE OF SEVERAL HOMOTHUGS AN DSEASON 2'S GOOD ACTING.
Anonymous says: yes it is finally black gay character who r not afraid to b seen and heard
| Lillatinomix says: me myself thinks that the show dosent show the real lifes of the gay black mans life but its a closer step to it then other shows ive seen and tho i may not be black at all i know how a gay black mans life is ive had several beautiful black men as my boyfriends ive loved eveyone of them i prefer to date black men they is just so down to earth then most stuckup white boy even tho im a latino indian white mix i feel i that i have certent things in commen with black men i may not know all the problems but i do know most of them growing up in black household with my friends i have become acustom to being just part of the family so to any haters out there live and let live and about the fem thang umm girl bye i know a bunch a men dat like dem fem boys

Xavier B says: the show is the bomb I love all the cast members WADE is to fine and the time MICHAEL EALY was on the show honey pleasewould have taking him and Wade on at the same time or the same day
Anonymous says: i love watching the tv show and i like to know is wade really is gay.
Jason says: My life partner, Kevin, and I enjoy watching Noahs Arc because we feel overall that it displays a positive image for the black community. The movie was great because it shows that two mature black gay men can commit to each other and let the world know that they love each other no matter what anyone says. Kevin and I both have masculine and feminine characteristics. That is what we love about each other. We bench press weights together, shop together, go to concerts/football/basketball games, and have holiday parties for our friends and family in the home that we designed and build together. I am so blessed to be a gay black man with a gay black man as my soul mate.

SouLKid says: I wonder if the same people who dont like the fact that most of the characters are fem, would have the same reaction if most of the characters were masculine. Im black but not american but from most of what i read, it seems gay black americans have a problem with fem guys. Which is a shame really because gay men come in different types(hence the rainbow). If we cant stick with each other then who would. I like my gays butch, flaming and everything in between.Cant have them any other way.
